Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Description
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of all incoming and outgoing shipments and merchandise. This position will manage the shipping and receiving department and staff, ensuring that all items are shipped, received, stored, and distributed in an organized and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all shipping and receiving operations, including unloading and sorting of deliveries
- Ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed
- Monitor the accuracy of all shipping and receiving records, including inventory and stock levels
- Supervise and train shipping and receiving staff
- Supervise crate and palletize finished goods for shipping
- Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies
- Monitor and control operational costs
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize process
- Develop a thorough understanding of Corridor software
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred
- Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Physically able to lift 50 pounds
- Proficient in MS Office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay $15.22-$20/hr depending on experience
